Business-day rules vary across countries, regions, employers and industries. This calculator therefore lets you select the weekend pattern and paste the exact public holidays or closure dates relevant to your task instead of silently assuming one location's calendar.
Use it either to count working days within a range or to move forward and backward by a number of business days. In add-or-subtract mode, the starting date is not counted as day one.

Practical tips
Public holidays are not automatic because dates and observance rules differ across the US, Canada, UK, Australia and their regions.
Including or excluding the starting and ending dates can change a short range substantially.
Contracts, courts, banks and delivery services may define business days differently or impose cut-off times.

Does adding one business day count the starting date?
No. It moves to the next eligible working date, skipping selected weekend days and provided holidays.

Yes. In add-or-subtract mode, enter a negative whole number to move backward through eligible working dates.
