The difference between two dates can be expressed as a calendar span or as a total number of elapsed days. Both are useful: a calendar span is natural for anniversaries, while total days are clearer for deadlines, bookings and data analysis.
By default the end date is excluded, matching elapsed-time counting. Turn on inclusive counting when both boundary dates should count, such as every date covered by a reservation or campaign.
